
David Graeve
David Graeve lives and works in Houston, Texas. He moved to Texas from in 2000 after an illustrious curating career in Minneapolis, MN. He received a B.F.A. in sculpture from the University of Minnesota where he was the co-founder of the Student Art Society.In Texas less than three years, he has already been in more than a dozen exhibitions. He works with glass, but in a different manner from fellow Texas Sculpture Garden artists Jim Bowman and Polly Gessell. Mr. Graeve's materials are primarily industrial glass blocks and lenses which he alters and manipulates through heat. His piece, Window 36 - Iris 2, is a reference to his family and young daughter Iris.
